Artist Bio
I am a mixed media and sensory-based artist, counsellor, and author living and creating in the Adelaide Hills. My work moves between layered abstract painting, intuitive mark making, clay tactile objects, and narrative pieces that explore the inner landscapes we carry, emotional, sensory, and deeply human. Texture, colour, and material play are central to how I understand the world. They allow me to translate felt experience into form.
My practice is grounded in curiosity and the quiet noticing of what sits beneath the surface. I am drawn to the places where emotion meets sensation, where memory becomes texture, and where the body holds stories long before language arrives. Through painting, clay, and mixed media work, I explore themes of fragmentation, grounding, belonging, and the slow and gentle process of returning to oneself.
Alongside my studio practice, I work as a counsellor with a strong foundation in art-based therapeutic processes. These two worlds, art and therapeutic work, inform one another in subtle and meaningful ways. Both invite presence, honesty, and a willingness to sit with what is real. Both ask for softness and courage.
I am the author of two memoirs, Fragmented Yet Whole and Becoming Me, Neurodivergently, which weave personal story, creative process, and reflective insight. My writing and artwork form a connected body of work, each offering a different way into the same terrain. I am interested in how we come to understand ourselves, how we make sense of our inner worlds, and how creativity becomes a place of anchoring.
I also speak publicly through podcasts, radio, workshops, and author events, sharing conversations about identity, sensory experience, creativity, and self-understanding. My practice continues to evolve as a space of grounding, exploration, and quiet reclamation, a place where I return to myself through making.
