About the role

The Access Coordinator is a vital member of the Access2Arts (A2A) team, responsible for coordinating and delivering our Access Consulting, Artist Support, and Audio Description services.

This role requires a strong commitment to enhancing accessibility in the arts, supporting disabled artists, and arts organisations across a range of access services and initiatives.

The objectives of this position will be achieved by:

  • Providing expert access consulting, training, and related services to a diverse range of clients.
  • Engaging with customers to deliver timely, well-considered advice and tailored solutions.
  • Leading presentations and workshops that are informative, engaging, and accessible.
  • Ensuring the effective administration of these programs.

The ability to provide accurate access advice and create accessible communications is critical to success in this role, as is the capacity to foster strong relationships and deliver exceptional, tailored support to artists, arts organisations and other customers.

This role requires a combination of great organisational and communication skills, alongside attention to detail and the ability to work collaboratively and deliver high quality work.

Illuminate Adelaide 2024 Access Guide

Do you, your family, clients or friends need to leave the house and experience some fun and wonder this winter?  Need a little more access information to make this happen?

The winter lights festival, Illuminate Adelaide, has begun, and Access2Arts is working with the festival team again in 2024 to make it’s ‘City Lights’ program more accessible.

Together we have created a Visual Story and Access Guide for the North Terrace Cultural Precinct section of the free multi-location light installation City Lights.

When: ‘City Lights’ runs from the 5th to the 21st of July, 2024
Time:  From 5.30pm – 10.30pm each night

The objectives of this position will be achieved by working with the Chair and CEO to;

  • articulate and enact the organisation’s values, vision, mission and strategies
  • oversee the organisation’s governance
  • ensure the organisation is legally compliant

Lived experience of disability and/or experience in the arts or non-profit sector are essential for this role.  Having established yourself as a proven leader in the arts and/or disability sector will be viewed favourable, as will governance experience supported by qualifications such as AICD, MBA or GLF.

About the role

The Arts Administrator (Office Manager) is a key role in the Access2Arts (A2A) team and is responsible for the delivery of all arts and office administration activities for A2A.  This includes providing support to other staff across the suite of A2A services.

The objectives of this position will be achieved by:

  • Taking a proactive role in coordinating and developing A2A administration and service delivery.
  • Contributing to an outstanding reputation for A2A services through excellent customer service and administration.
  • Supporting the development and delivery of the Access2Arts newsletter, website updates and social media content.
  • Delivering excellent database and data management across multiple systems.
  • Assisting the team with administration support and general clerical duties as requested.
  • Supporting the Chief Executive with grant and funding applications.
  • Achieving specified goals/outcomes in relation to projects as determined from time to time.
  • Working with Deaf and disabled artists and audiences, and arts organisations to support participation in arts and culture.

The ability to contribute as a team player, offer exceptional customer service and well-written, visually branded and accessible communications is critical to success in this role.

This role requires a combination of great organisation and communication skills, alongside attention to detail and the ability to both work collaboratively and deliver high-quality work in a largely self-directed environment.
