Event description

Part spoken word and part movement theatre, SPECTRUM is an award-nominated solo show based on Jess’ lived experience of neurodivergence.

Electric, intimate and fiercely tender, Spectrum explores what it is like to grow up with AuADHD through a vivid interplay of colour, metaphor and motion. You, the audience, are invited inside the experience as a rainbow is painted live across the stage, each colour unlocking a chapter of childhood, adolescence and adulthood shaped by masking, mirroring, longing and confusion. As strange and towering kingdoms rise, you learn not to decode or conquer them, but to carry the beauty of what you have been holding all along. Raw, lyrical and quietly defiant, SPECTRUM holds fast to a single truth: that difference is not a deficit but a powerful offer all of its own.

SPECTRUM featured as part of the Limitless program at Sydney Fringe Festival in 2025, where it was nominated for Best in Theatre and Jess was nominated for Best Emerging Artist.
