Event description

My name is Liam Adams. I am a geeky and nerdy science fiction and fantasy writer (with a lot of comedy) and cartoonist. I started my own business called Everyone Needs A Liam in 2022. I am looking forward to talk to you about myself as a writer with Autism and Intellectual Disability, as well as my epic "Shifting Dimensions". See you there!

Accessibility

  • Wheelchair Accessibility
  • Sign Language Interpretation
  • Relaxed Performance

This is a talk by 23 year old Liam who has Autism and Intellectual Disability. Liam knows his subject well but his diction can be difficult due to his own disabilities. It is free but ticketed through the Adelaide Fringe Festival as there is limited seating. This session will be in the dark with the roof lit up to show the stars. Liam will have an AusLan Interpreter present, and he and the interpreter will be lit up by a lamp. Available at the talk will be free accessible pdfs of 3 of his novels that make up his Librarian Saga Volume 1. Printed versions of his 4 novels will be available for sale at the event. Liam will use a microphone but there will be no other loud noises. Every person attending will receive a free small limited edition print of one of Liam's characters, signed by Liam. There will be two similar sessions advertised on this site that will not be in the dark.
