There is the fairytale you know and love. But what isn’t known, what no book has ever recorded, is why exactly the princess was out in the middle of a storm, in the middle of a night, at the end of an adventure. This story is that story.
In a clever reimagining of this much-loved fairytale, this stunning production featuring live classical music performed by ACO musicians will tell the story of a princess who dreams of escape… and how she ended up on a prince’s doorstep in the rain.
- Audio described performance will be available on Saturday 17 May at 11.30am.
- This venue is wheelchair accessible.
- Just watch - this activity asks for the audience to sit-back, relax, and enjoy the show unfolding in front of them (with little or no audience participation).
- This show takes place in a traditional theatre setting, with low levels of lighting in the
auditorium. However, a relaxed attitude is taken to noise and movement from within the
audience.
- The performance includes live music by a chamber orchestra on stage, and a singular performer
acting as a narrator. The performance involves some shadow puppetry but is well suited to
audio description.
