• You can leave and re-enter at any time; the auditorium door opens to an open foyer break area.
• A separate quiet breakout room is available for calm regulation breaks throughout the show.
• Sensory adjustments where possible: gentler sound levels; no strobe lighting; house lights kept on and not bright.

  • Relaxed Performance

Our Relaxed Performance of Beauty and the Beast JR., Friday 17 July, 1:00pm, has been specially adapted to create a more welcoming and accessible theatre experience for audience members who may benefit from a less formal environment. House lights will remain partially on, sound and lighting effects will be softened where possible, and audience members are free to move around, make noise, leave and re-enter the auditorium as needed. We welcome patrons with disability, sensory sensitivities, autism, anxiety, dementia, young children, or anyone who may find a traditional theatre setting challenging.
Our aim is to create a supportive, inclusive space where everyone can enjoy the magic of live theatre in a way that feels comfortable for them.

Seating is General Admission, but wheelchair spaces are located in the front 3 rows.
You as the carer/partner/companion can sit directly next to the person in the wheelchair and can also sit directly next to additional patrons.
We will bring this group in first to get them situated, before bringing in others so it’s not too crowded.

• There is no designated wheelchair-accessible parking available.
• There is, however, a safe wheelchair-accessible drop-off/pick-up area close to the venue entrance.
in wheelchairs are able to access the space via Victoria Street.
When you arrive, please let the FOH team know so they can open the door from the inside. They’ll be expecting those who have booked wheelchair access and companion seats, but someone will still need to notify our team upon arrival.
• The path of travel from the street or drop-off point to the entrance is level, firm, and obstacle-free.
• Designated wheelchair-accessible unisex toilets are also available onsite.

Companion Card - Once you have booked tickets for everyone attending (excluding yourself) we can book yours with the companion code.
Please call 08 8332 1228 or email admin@theatrebugs.com.au for any further assistance.
