State Opera South Australia presents a new show aiming to get young children familiar with the artform of opera and learn a few lessons along the way.
The Frog Prince is a modern retelling of the classic Grimm tale where a spoilt princess encounters a sassy frog and an unlikely friendship blossoms. They embark on a fantastical and uplifting journey, learning lessons about friendship, personal identity and the importance of looking after the environment along the way.
The show features a variety of popular operatic arias from composers including Mozart, Rossini and Bizet, where lyrics have been transformed and translated to English to captivate and wow young audiences.
Children have the option of being seated on the floor in front of the performance area.
