I was the gumboot throwing champion for five years straight at the Blackwood Easter Carnival. (Victoria 1992-1996) The event organisers changed the event and combined the boys and girls so I couldn’t win. It worked. I lost. And my family left that shitty little town forever.
30 years later, I’m still pissed-off. I deserve a medal.
