A bold new chapter for South Australian arts and culture!

We’re thrilled to see the release of A Place to Create – South Australia’s new 10-year cultural policy – alongside the launch of CreateSA (formerly Art South Australia) and its first two-year delivery plan.

This is a pivotal moment for our sector. Access2Arts warmly welcomes the commitment to building a more inclusive, accessible, and representative arts industry – one where d/Deaf and disabled artists and arts workers are recognised, supported, and celebrated.

We believe everyone deserves the opportunity to create, connect, and thrive through the arts. And we’re excited to be part of shaping a future that makes space for all voices, all bodies, and all stories.

We were especially pleased to work with CreateSA to review the language in the policy and to support the development and delivery of the Easy Read versions of the plan to make it more accessible to more members of our community.
